Or an older puppy/young adult from a breeder. A lot of times sheltie breeders will grow out puppies and they don't get big enough or go over and then look to place them in a great pet home.. sometimes at a lower price if they find the right home. (there's a height requirement for the breed ring- 13-16 inches.) Quote Link to comment

Its the up front fee to have the dog in the apartment, initial and future vet responsibilities, and food. Things have been getting tighter recently. Quote Link to comment
