State Maps won't zoom in - error 500

For the last couple of weeks, I have not been able to 'ZoomIn, Out, Pan' from the state maps. I get an asp error 500 - page cannot be displayed. I am using a Mac hand have tried with Netscape 4.7, Opera 5 and Explorer 5.1. All get the same error.

Is anyone else having trouble with this? Anyone have any insight? I use this feature a lot and would like to resolve this.

There are lots of threads complaining about map pages that don't load. It's because of server overload. The easy fix is to logout from your account, then load the map. It takes extra computing power to display which caches you have or haven't found.

 

There is hope for improvement! See the sneak preview of new map server as just posted today by Jeremy in the general thread. That will allow me to wait patiently for awhile longer.

Thanx for the link and the workaround. I checked it out and it looks great! Hope it works fine on a Mac.
