I recently recieved an email to say my cache had been found 2 days ago but there are no records of this at all on the cache details that this occured and it says it was last found 5 days ago. The user has my cache listed on his found caches.

 

any ideas what is happening here?

He may have deleted his log.

You could email and ask if you are worried/concerned about it - depends how you feel. Also how long he/she has been caching? May be a factor.

but would it not still show up as recently found on the cache listing?

Have they edited the date, so it's further down the cache page?

You can :-

 

Write a log entry

Press submit

A new window comes up which says Edit / Delete / Upload a picture (I think)

If you then delete the message it does not go on the cache listing but it does send an email to the Cache owner.

I have used this when dropping off TBs in the past.

 

Try it on one of your caches maybe?

That would be my guess. Deleting the log would also remove the cache from his found caches list.
