This year's demonstration shows just how far a bear can toss the bear safe canisters, which means you may have a hunt on your hands if you left it on the ground. Best practice still is to hang your food in a proper manner to keep it out of reach, even when in the canister. Oh, and if you think keeping food in your car is safe from the bears, think again.
