+LewisClan77
I found an EC yesterday based on air quality. GC2C6D3 I was wondering if you guys had ever seen one like this and how it got published. I have had some rejected for not enough earth science. What are you thoughts. Quote Link to comment
+narcissa
If you feel that a particular Earthcache doesn't meet current guidelines, it's best to bring it up privately with a reviewer. Bringing these Earthcaches under public scrutiny isn't fair to the owners. Quote Link to comment
+LewisClan77
I wasn't scrutinizing it. I was just wondering if there were anymore like it. If I had a problem with it I would not have logged it. Quote Link to comment
Neos2
Interesting question. I read over the EarthCache description, and the way I see it, it is an Earth Science topic. It's even one of the state standards for student learning I'm required to teach in my freshman high school classes. The geomorphology is what causes the air quality issues in that area, 'investigating' the air quality is just the data you collect to understand that relationship. Perhaps the relationship between the geological landscape and the impact it has could be stated more strongly on the cache page, but that would take away some of the fun of making the connection, too. At least, it would for my students. They love to end up conversations with my agreeing their conclusions are correct ("So, that is what causes that to happen?" "Yes, it is!" ~smiles all around) Quote Link to comment
