+BaChick
I started out with one cacher name and changed it to my current one. I would like to change it back to the original one, but I get "This username is not available." According to Groundspeak support: If a username already exists and has ever been validated, or the username has been used in any way, then the username is not available. Is that final? No way around it at all? If I ask very nicely? Please .... Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Well you can ask...... but that is fairly final. But it doesn't hurt to ask - use the contact at geocaching address. Quote Link to comment
Colorado Bear
Have you tried signing in with the old user name and password? Also, You might try contacting Groundspeak and asking them to change it for you. I know that they did that for me when I started. Jay Quote Link to comment
+WRASTRO
Just out of curiosity, why did you change it to begin with? Quote Link to comment
+BaChick
Just out of curiosity, why did you change it to begin with? Single person cacher name. Team cacher name. No longer part of team so looking to get a single cacher name again. Quote Link to comment

You're in the clear, I'd suggest E-mailing Groundspeak and telling them whats up. Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
My guess is that the reason you cannot use that name is that it is already taken. By you! If the lackeys have that info in their system, they might be able to help you. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I see no evidence that your current name was changed from the original one. It appears that you simply opened a new account with the new name so all you need to do is log on to the original account - if you remember the password. Quote Link to comment
+BaChick
Actually my original name wasn't BaChick - but I like it, it was available and now it's mine. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. Quote Link to comment
