+Hiekel Essterol Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I have an idea for a multi that involves finding 2 caches in 2 locations to get the combined coords for a 3rd cache; something like North coords in 1 cache, West coords in another cache. Simple enough so far. But can I make each of those 2 caches with the coords in traditionals in their own right? Can they be logged as finds themselves or can they only be part of the bigger multistage cache? Cheers in advance. Quote
GOF and Bacall Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 The first two would be traditional caches and the third a puzzle. This type of series is quite common and when done right very fun. Try to make it some kind of themed series. Quote

GOF and Bacall Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I had a series like that. Seven different clues leading to the final puzzle cache. I released them one at a time. In each clue cache was a puzzle that needed to be solved to fill in part of the final coordinates. The series was well received. I may have to do it again soon. Quote
+Spraginator Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I've seen a multi where the first stage only had the west cords, and the north cords were in another, traditional cache. Quote
+BCandMsKitty Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I've seen a multi where the first stage only had the west cords, and the north cords were in another, traditional cache. I have a series like this half of the 3rd cache coords in each of 2 traditionals ... trouble is, I've found that many cachers don't bother to read the cache page instructions. The third (final) cache hardly ever gets found because the searchers didn't write down the parts of the coords for it, and don't want to go back for them. This doesn't bother me much ... the loss is theirs ... just be aware that this could happen if you do something like this. Quote
+BBWolf+3Pigs Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Here's my version: Baker's Half Dozen - Final The final listing includes links to the first six caches you need to find. They are in a loop, and if you grab them #1 to #6, and park at the suggested coordinates, you get the final (puzzle) on the way back to the car. Quote
Tahosa and Sons Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 And a micro in the woods is a good traditional stage that will drive them nuts. Quote
+LightHouseSeekers Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Two traditionals coupled with a puzzle. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=801df4c9-fcee-4f37-b2f0-294129bf6ec8&log=y&decrypt= Quote
