Andronicus
Someone in the forum a few months back told us how to make a map with all of your finds. I made a shortcut, so I can get that map whenever I want. But I am trying to give someone help on how to do this on the feedback site, and for the life of me I can not figure out how to make the shortcut. The link is http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx?guid= with a large 31 character hex number on the end. The number is not the one related to my user name. I can't remember where to get this number from. Anyway, if anyone knows that would be great. Quote Link to comment

The number comes from the address that your "My Finds" PQ is downloaded from. So, you right click the download link and copy the shortcut, then use the number from the end of that shortcut to add to the end of the link in my first post. Quote Link to comment
+TomToad
You can also drag-n-drop the .gpx file into Google Earth. Quote Link to comment
+BBWolf+3Pigs
You can also drag-n-drop the .gpx file into Google Earth. Or DeLorme maps. Quote Link to comment

Andronicus
This trick doesn't work anymore. Anyone know how to get a map like this now? Or do I have to use a 3rd party app (like map source)? Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I just open the "my finds" PQ GPX file in Google Earth. Easy and quick. Quote Link to comment
+DragonsWest
The mind reels. Now I can stare endlessly at my finds all over the place. How I do get around. (I'll be doing a bit less of that while gas is over $4/gallon, tho.) Quote Link to comment
Andronicus
I just open the "my finds" PQ GPX file in Google Earth. Easy and quick. Well, Google Earth is a 3rd party app which I do not have. I tried google maps, and it works, kind of. It limits the number of points. Not sure what the limit is, but less than my total find count of 534(?). If this trick has been made to not work, it makes me sad... Edit, just counted google maps. It is limited to 200 caches. +Gamaliel
You can get Google earth here: http://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html Edited March 28, 2012 by Gamaliel Quote Link to comment
+LightHouseSeekers
If one uses GSAK and keeps a separate database containing only 'My Finds', then the macro Google_Map_V3.gsk will generate a interesting map. Quote Link to comment

Using this website, you can bring up the map, and it will show your finds as smilies. If you want anything different than that, you'll have to use your My Finds PQ with some kind of 3rd party software. Quote Link to comment

It won't show your entire Found history (archived finds). Quote Link to comment

Agreed, but neither did the original method mentioned by the OP. Since they were asking about a replacement for that, I figured they didn't care about viewing the archived caches.
