+Jackalgirl Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Trackable, edible coins. I am not making this up. Sepp & Berta, you are evil. EVIL! ; ) Quote
+Eartha Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 But if there should be "no food in caches", why is this? And how long can you track them before you can't resist eating them? Do they melt in your cache, and not in your hand? Quote
+anne.and.eli Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Do they melt in your cache, and not in your hand? HAhahahahahahahaha! Quote
+keewee Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Yummy - but how can that be!???? How can they be 0.30 Euro per peice (1.50 Euro for bag of 5) when a tracking number is $US1.50 per number? Would be a great way to get some very, very, very cheap tracking numbers to use on other items!!!!!!!!!!! Edited May 12, 2011 by keewee Quote
+GATOULIS Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 and where is the tracking number? on the chocolate or on the foil? so.. it will be a coin with expiration date!!! Hmm... if the coin gets stollen we can say.... a muggle ate it... if one of these comes is hot weather areas... huh... but I do not think they will ever be droped in a cache! these are for stomach caching! I can turn my belly into a choco coin cache... hotel... but... forget your coins after it... hahahaha And .... how can we log them??? instead of retrieve ... it will be... eaten by... in the discover.... we can write... took a bite... but in write a note?? maybe... unwrap the foil??? hahaha... I like it but I am afraid that if I get one I will have to keep it in the fridge.. or... hey that's it!!!! I will make a proxy! I will eat the chocolate and put in the foil a round piece of wood! Just remember... do not keep it too long... hahaha after that.... I will expect a lolypop coin!!! in many flavors!!! hmmmm..... Quote
+keewee Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I am wondering if they all come with the same Tracking Number - the same number of the one S&B have linked? Quote
+Eartha Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I am wondering if they all come with the same Tracking Number - the same number of the one S&B have linked? Good question! And that would make more sense, too. Track by byte, I mean bite. Quote
+Jackalgirl Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) I think that's the answer: Sepp & Berta activated the "chococoin". Then you buy chocolate coins (all with this same tracking number on them) and use the code to discover the coin. It's still a perfectly evil idea. ; ) Edited May 13, 2011 by Jackalgirl Quote
+keewee Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 If that is the case then Sepp & Berta need to make that very, very clear otherwise they could end up with a few annoyed customers! Quote
CW88 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Saw those on their site earlier today (before I saw this thread). From what I understood when I read it you just discover it, so maybe they all have the same tracking number? Also seemed to get that idea going through the logs from their link. Quote
+Sepp & Berta Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) Sorry for the co(i)nfusion! The Chocoins have all the same trackingnumer. So everybody can discover it, but cannot activate them. They're not made to put them into caches, only into your mouth ;-) edit: I added a note to the description at our shop to make it clearer :-) Oh yes, 30 cent would be much too cheap to have a unique code for each chocoin! I think, it's a cool idea, Berta's put Chocolate "Coins" as goodies into her orders for some time now, who regularly orders at her shop might already have gotten some. Now they come as a special and you can order them as well. I guess, this makes a fun giveaway at events. Quote
+NOSNOW Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Do you think the tracking number will be locked? One code on many items, I did not think that was allowed. Will it matter that they are a vendor doing it? Quote

The small print says each bag has one code (so 5 with the same number) still, nice way to get a one-off number for something else, as you say! (If you're in Germany. Costs 4.8 euros to ship a bag here!) Edited May 13, 2011 by Fianccetto Quote
