hangarden
Hi- I need to buy 5 or 6 GPS units for teaching intro to Geocaching and GPS programs for teens this summer ASAP. They can be from different sources but must be the same type. They must be fully functional but do not need to have accessories and aesthetic damages are ok. I am currently looking at the etrex Legend (the discontinued blue unit with black and white screens) but am having trouble finding enough within my price range. (I'd like to keep per unit cost at or below 75.) Also open to suggestions of other simple, easy to use and easy to find used GPS devices that have pre-existing maps. THANK YOU! Quote Link to comment
QuigleyJones
You might try http://www.gpscity.com/help/educational But im surprised your having a hard time buying. At $75 i'd line up to sell you one. Its old tech and worth half that. ebay is the best place to buy, and for $75 a unit you could get much better models. (Legend CX, Legend C, Summit HC, Venture HC, Vista, Vista C, have all sold for $75 or under) Quote Link to comment
+Mapperist
Try http://www8.garmin.com/aboutGarmin/sponsorship/?activeBranchId=about and fill out the request form. Be sure to select "Product Donation" in the drop down under "what is the request." I hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
hangarden
Even on ebay, they seem to be holding value pretty well and most are selling for over $65. I found the units I need. Thanks for the input! Quote Link to comment
