On the bottom of the topics page, where it says XX Members are browsing the forums, with the list of members below it, why are some members name "italicized"?

Italics?? - i've never seen. Moderaters are bolded.

I believe that people who are actively writing a post or replying to a post have italicized names. Temporarily.

I saw that sdarken's name was italicized, for example, and he/she just posted right before I submitted mine.

Right now, TheCacheSeeker, +Bluebyu, and +sdarken are in italics.

Now only TheCacheSeeker is in italics. Probably does mean someone who is posting.

You hit the nail on the head. If you hover your cursor over the name, it will say either of 2 things - Reading & the time = regular text or - Posting & the time = Italicized text.

 

I watch those that are Italicized & hit refresh to see if they are done posting.

 

I also used to go to the bottom of the main forum to -

 

Show by: Last Click or Member Name

Since the forum "Upgrade" I only get -
