+TeamSparky
TeamSparky really enjoys urban caches, but often ends up in a park or in the suburbs due to a skimpy cache description. We suggest adding a location classification option to the cache page, much like the cache size classification (micro cache, normal cache, etc.). Our suggestions would be: -urban cache (literally, like in a city... with concrete or in a building) -suburban cache (a park, cemetary, etc.) -wilderness cache (off or near a trail, in the mountains, etc. - something involving getting out of town). Thanks! TeamSparky Link to comment
+Jamie Z
Hmmm, I kinda like that idea. If I were starting my own geocaching website, I'd probably include that. But since this site is already long established... I'd stick to the motto, KISS. I suppose if you really wanted to know the type of location, look at a topo or aerial of the area. +Olar
I think its a great idea. I would suggest adding a fourth category, Rural, in-between suburban and wilderness. Yes I realize that these classifications can be determined by downloading the coords to a topo or street map but any feature that can get me away faster from sitting at the PC and out on the trails has my vote.
