What's the Tick Box for?

Recommended Posts

Hello All

On the cache list that comes up after a search there is a tick box on the left of the table next to the distance icon.

What's it for and how is it of use to me, I have yet to find an answer.

Please help as I feel I'm missing out! <_<

If you look just below the list of caches you'll see a "Waypoint Downloads" section with a "Check Akk" box and "Download Waypoints" button. The Tick box allows you to select which waypoints from the list you want to download. Note, that when you download waypoints in this manner you get them in .loc format rather than .gpx format. The .loc format has very basic information about a waypoint (basically the coordinates and an identifier).

Isn't a place to keep your tics?

Hey, I've always wondered that! If they have a box for tics, why in the world don't they have a box for tacs -- like a tac box!!!???

Then, everytime you check something off a list, you go "Tic, Tac" and you're done! And then you pull a tic tac out of you purse to eat and........

Forget it...
