LazyLeopard
When I try to look at the "original" version of images I usually find that I can't download the whole thing. I get something between 30k and 60k (or so) just fine, then the download just stops, and never continues. Any ideas what's happening? It is a problem I'm seeing a lot from geocaching.com, and not from elsewhere. I've tried different browsers, and "wget", and they all suffer the same problem. Purrs... +Team Roman Geoskis
Believe the max is set at 100k. I tried loading a few travel bug pics in mine and it did the same thing. Checked the orig params of the picture and found it to be at 319k. Cropped it down to about 19k and had no problems. I think it gets real fidgety the closer you get to the 100k limit. Link to comment

The images I was having trouble with most recently are reported by the server to be 92kb and 96kb, so under the 100kb limit, just. The trouble with delivering only part of an image is that it encourages folk to re-try, possibly several times. Images are all-or-nothing content. Send it all or don't send it at all. Purrs... Can you provide some examples that are causing you this problem? -Elias Link to comment

Well, I can't seem to duplicate it now, but I'll keep checking on it. If you or anyone else notices the problem, if you could post the time of day its happening along with your timezone, I can more acurately check the server during those periods to see if perhaps the load is causing this. -Elias Link to comment

Ok. Another batch just now, between 14:38 and 14:44 GMT I had the following images stop part-way through: http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/17917_200.jpg http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/17917_300.jpg http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/17917_400.jpg http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/17702_200.jpg Download proceeds nice and fast til about half-way through, then stalls, and eventually times out...
