+bflentje
I've been a premium member for many years. I am saddened that as a premium member that I know see ads cleverly hidden within the pages that I view here on geocaching.com. I've often laughed at all of the stupid debates about membership.. elitist, this, that, and the other thing. Thought they were lame. And I understand Groundspeak is a business.. I am all for it. But the fact that as a paying member and I get to see ads is abhorrent and I want it to stop. No ads was one of the primary reasons I've been paying for membership. And when I say ads, I am NOT referring the Groundspeak store or vendors ads. I am talking about the Google ads. Bad bad bad. Quote Link to comment
+Snoogans
I was promised 40 cache locations and a mule. They totally jacked me on the mule. Quote Link to comment
mresoteric
Where are the ads you see? I don't see any and I am just a regular member. Quote Link to comment

Are they that cleverly hidden that I am just not seeing them? Quote Link to comment
+GeoGeeBee
Now that you mention it, I can remember seeing Google ads in the old forum, up in the top-right corner of the page. But I don't see any in the new forums, or on any of the geocaching.com pages. Quote Link to comment

+PokerLuck
I use Internet Explorer, and I don't see adds. I can't swear that I've never seen an add, but I don't recall. Are you using a Google addon to your web browser that might be inserting the adds? Try turning all the addons off and see if it helps. Quote Link to comment
+nittanycopa
I'm only seeing the 1" x 2" Groundspeak - related ad on the lefthand side. Quote Link to comment

But for those that CAN comment without angst, turns out my membership had quietly expired and never even noticed until I tried to pull a new PQ this morning. I don't remember seeing an emailing telling me about expiration.. NOT that I am promised one that is. Nevermind. Quote Link to comment

Wait... I don't remember... WAS I given that option?? If not, I should have been. Quote Link to comment

Yes. Why can't this be done? It seems that every other recurring bill I have is setup like this. Edited April 12, 2011 by TerraViators Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I didn't get a reminder email until just a few days before the expiration and nothing the day of. However, I renewed it by late that day. Quote Link to comment
