+Tennessee Jed Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I'm redoing this subject in order to find out more information about certain geocoins. What is the name and version of the coin(s) below? How are other versions of the coin identified (i.e. which metals are available) and how many were minted in each version? Here are a few coins to begin with... Some of the names are obvious, but what about the other info? Quote
+LadyBee4T Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I can definitely tell you about the second one. It is the Michigan version of the 10-10-10 coins. There were 150 minted. This one the only version that Michigan had for that event. I would have to look up the number of other events that had their own coin minted Bo.T.L. has an absolutely great site showing the versions of the recent event group coins here Bo.T.L's Multi Event Geocoin Collection Quote
+scificollector Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 the first one is The Carousel Lion. 135 Polished Gold (Brown Lion/Purple trappings) 135 Black Nickel (White Lion/Purple trappings) 60 LE Satin Gold (Brown Lion/Green trappings) 20 XLE Satin Silver with Glitter (Black Lion w/Purple trappings) Quote
+Tennessee Jed Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Would anyone know how many of the Well Rounded Cacher challenge coin were made? and the version and quantity of this Medusa? Edited April 4, 2011 by Tennessee Jed Quote
+avroair Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 That's my error personal edition of the Medusa. There were 100 made. If it has nickel in the middle instead of gold then it's the Geocoinfest\Geowoodstock XXLE --- 6 of those were minted. Quote

+lifechooser Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) That would make sense given the colour scheme. Thanks Edit: I found it! http://www.newgeocoin.com/2010/12/geocoin-2010-christmas-stocking-grab.html Edited April 6, 2011 by lifechooser Quote

Any help would be greatly Appreciated. I would post a pic but I do my forums from my iPhone. I will email a pic to you if you'd like just send me an email. Thanks. Edited for spellin. +wenzelbub Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 This is probably a proxy of the "Bremen 2008" geocoin, made by mygeocoin.de too Quote

The designers (me and a couple of other cachers from Bremen), we bought 7 more codes and produced an XXXLE version of this coin lasered in plexiglass. It was given to all those who were involved in the design and planning. I got two of them and traded one to Tennessee Jed (thanks again, bro). Quote
