+Cryptosporidium-623
Does anyone know if this more aggressive login cookie expiration is a new "feature" or just an unintended bug being addressed? It's a royal pain to have to constantly log back in, what seems like every day or so, especially on a mobile device where each app's browser session (e.g. Geocaching, Geosphere, Safari) has its own set of cookies. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I just use the website on a real computer - no issues at all for me. Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
I am usually mildly annoyed when my cookie has expired, but it doesn't happen all that often. C'est la vie. Quote Link to comment

+Don_J
I use the website on a real computer and have to sign in multiple times in a single day. VERY annoying! This happens to people some times. No one seems to be able to explain it. Personally, I have been logged on at times for over a year. The only times I have ever been forcibly logged off in after certain site upgrades. When I log back on, it always brings me to the TOU page, so I think that is intentional. This happened after the update three weeks ago and I have been logged on since, so I don't think anything has changed. Quote Link to comment
+MikeAndHike
I haven't had to sign in since I changed my avatar. Has to have been over a week at least. Running chrome on Win 7. Quote Link to comment
+Cryptosporidium-623
I just use the website on a real computer - no issues at all for me. Interesting. It's happening on my computer as well. I just care less since I don't have to type on a little tiny keyboard. Edited March 29, 2011 by daschpeeg Quote Link to comment
+G & C
On my home computer, I very, very rarely have to log in. On my BB, however, I have to log in virtually every time I log in to GC.com from another website. It's irritating, but I don't attribute it to GC.com. Should I? Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
Are you specifically "logging out" on another computer? Doing so will invalidate your cookies on all browsers and devices. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
I haven't had to sign in since I changed my avatar. Has to have been over a week at least. Running chrome on Win 7. That's probably because the server now takes one look at your avatar and thinks you are Toz. He's such a fixture here that the servers don't even bother to check his cookies. Quote Link to comment
+Sharks-N-Beans
We brought this up the other week. Actually logged-out while writing a log last night. Really starting to get annoying. Quote Link to comment

If the server mistakes you for Toz it would add an extended period of time as matter of course, to allow you time to "reply"! Quote Link to comment
+MrLifeboat
I have been having a similar problem since the last round of site updates. I am running win7 with chrome and I find that my account doens't really log me out just my map session used for searching for caches expires after about 5/6 mins of being idle and no longer displays my finds or hides. The icons just reset to the normal cache icon and I can no longer tell the difference. I then have to go back to search page run new search and then select 'view using google maps'. It is very frustrating to have to do this up to 10 times per day. Quote Link to comment
