+Viajero Perdido
I was riding my mountain bike through the forest to a cache, following the arrow on the Garmin which was mounted on the handlebars, when a fly landed on the unit and didn't seem eager to leave. It stayed there long enough for me to pull over, dig out the camera, and grab a picture. I like the image because the fly points NW, and I live in the NW part of our continent. Quote Link to comment

+gelfling6
I picked mine, as a tribute to a Robotics team I mentor, I spotted the 'Super Squirrel' picture on someone's web page, and blacked out the Superman logo, to insert the team's logo (A Oomlot, and a B, in the same diamond). My nickname to them is Crazy Stephen. In some ways, Yeah, I am crazy, like a fox! (Wiley, and Cunning.) I help them in the design of the robot, in how to play a game put to them every year. They then use the robot to play the game, and the past 3 (prior to this recent year) have incorporated a lot of the ideas I suggested, (this year, I backed off, and let them use their own.) The motto, "Uber-Squirrel, It's time to get nuts!", just seemed to fit.. Bring it on!!! Quote Link to comment
+TreasureFerret
I figured a ferret in a treasure chest was the best match for my username. I tried putting my own ferrets in a treasure chest but they didn't stay still long enough for a picture, so this one is from google image search Edited April 18, 2011 by TreasureFerret Quote Link to comment

+TeamMCH
I'm a Lutheran pastor and my avatar is the Lutheran Rose. I'll gladly adhere to the Groundspeak and Geocaching.com standards of use by not launching into a sermon. But for those who wish to learn more - in the words of Martin Luther's own explanation - here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luther_rose We also chose a Luther Rose keychain for the first trackable we set out. We hope it will journey from our first cache hide in Indianapolis, Indiana to a cache in Holden Village in the remote cascade mountains of Washing, uplake from Chelan. +roziecakes
My avatar is an image I created myself in photoshop, it's the geocaching colors with our caching initials, and two simple symbols that represent Nymphs and Satyrs; which are creatures from Greek Mythology who frolic in the woods (basic definition). We didn't go into Holden Village, even though we would have liked to, because of time. But we did stop just below it at Lucerne campground/Refrigerator Harbor campground and found the cache there.
