So, to recap some facts...

- coin is not a New Zealand one

- mamoreb is correct:

Ummm... If I did the math correctly, the coin is either antique silver, shiny silver, foggy/satin silver, antique gold, shiny gold, foggy/satin gold, antique bronze, shiny bronze, foggy/satin bronze, antique copper, shiny copper, foggy copper, nickel or black nickel ... or some other rare metal. Or maybe I should list all possible two-tone combos? Thanks a lot, that hint really helped. Not that I expected more on the first day.

- it was a coin in my collection prior to my pause from collecting in sept/oct 2008

- it is not at/near the end of the alphabet

- the metal/finish is not a silver variety

- the coin was released in 2007

- there have been lots of guesses of geocoins with the first letter as this one

- one person has guessed the correct coin edition, but not the correct specific coin

- the coin is not black nickel (new hint) :)

- I am a bastard

Question?

What exactly does this mean "one person has guessed the correct coin edition"

Anyone?

An example of a coin edition might be the 2010 Compass Roses, which are a different edition of coin to the 2010 Evil Micros. :)

I still don't get the edition, sorry.

Can you give me an example of guess that has what you require (year, coin, edition, finish).

Thanks

Today's first guess:

2007 Generic Geocoin, Antique Bronze finish

PS...thanx for the cointest!

DING DING DING

We have a Winner!!!

It was indeed a Antique Bronze version of the 2007 edition Generic Geocoin from Geoswag!

Congratulations and well done SgtMikal.

Please email me your address, thanks. :)

Unfortunately it wasn't anything sexy or rare (phew!) but was a great reason for a cointest!

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I sure did!

I had a blast, being I am so new at this it gave me a way to look up and learn some and have sooooooooooooooo much more to learn

Also I relized by trying to look up info on geocoins there isn't a centralized website of history. what coins wre made what year, hom many, what metals, ect.. i don't know if it's possible but for new people like myself it would be an amazing learning tool. Thanks again i had fun trying.
