In the winter, people around here occasionally sign their geocaching handles in the snow when you get close to GZ. Personally, I use a stick to sign my name.

More likely it stood for "I Suck At Geocaching". I'd guess that might be correct since it was in regard to a DNF on a 1.5/1.5 geocache.

Now I have to clean the spluttered tea of my screen! When I lived in the UK, I went skiing to Flaine in France...the home movie of the trip started with Flaine and the year written in the snow in the way you almost described.

Those bones are neat, as is the idea!
