iphone app

been out today caching and using my iphone with geocaching app in conjunction with existing garmin colorado.

 

Its not a substitute for the garmin, but i do like a couple of features e.g. logs as you go along, and yes I do type in proper logs not just "found it"

 

However help please for those who have also used the iphone app

 

1. Why when I take a photo via the app why does this not upload to the geocaching site ?

2. Why when I choose a cache as a favourite again this does not update the main site ?

 

What am I doing wrong, or do these options just not work ?

I don't do this very often, prefer to do my pics when I get home rather than faff in the field. When I have tried it, it has worked, so not sure.

Maybe depends which sort of favourite you mean. If you mean adding a favour point to a cache, then no, you can't do it on the app.

Doing a search, gives you the option of 'Add to Favourites' but this just adds the details to a favourite list in your saved tab. Means you have the info when off line, same as a PQ list.

Yep get that sorted Robin.. Even better footage when Weavey Falls in a stream/get's arrested.

With point 1 you just have to keep trying

After taking photo 1:select use. 2:save. 3:make sure a mini photo is shown under attachments. 4:save and send log.
