+Happy Bubbles
I am very suspicious of this person's logs. http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=c46257ca-be01-4e25-83c9-92ad4b816780 He found a ton of caches, all over Miyagi prefecture, in one day. That's a lot of driving! Yet he somehow didn't get around to logging them (all with TFTC) until a month later. He even found one cache weeks before it was published. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=488a470a-ac6a-4175-9be7-683cc28fcfb5 I had a lot of the Sendai caches on my watchlist for months, and those logs just appeared in the last few days. Normally I would ignore it and assume the CO would take care of it, but obviously this is not a normal time in that area. What kind of weirdo writes fake logs for caches in a disaster zone? More importantly, how are you doing? If I'm reading it right, it looks like you're about 400 miles from the the distaster area, am I right? Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
... More importantly, how are you doing? ... Yes - that is what weighs on our minds for the whole area. Quote Link to comment
+Happy Bubbles
I'm fine. I am indeed 400 miles away. I couldn't even feel the earthquake, and my bit of the coast of the Sea of Japan wasn't affected by the tsunami at all. Other than the constant stream of horrors on the news, life is pretty normal in my neck of the woods. I'm mostly just worried sick over the things happening in the northeast. I visit Sendai a lot, and while everyone I know there personally is OK it's still awful to hear about all the people who aren't. Quote Link to comment
+releasethedogs
I think you and the rest of Japan havs more important things to do and worry about then some one who wants to armchair log geocaches. If they want to play the game that way, let him (or her). They are only cheating them self. Edited March 17, 2011 by releasethedogs Quote Link to comment
Andronicus
... What kind of weirdo writes fake logs for caches in a disaster zone? Not sure what kind, but the bugger thinks that the COs will be too preocupied to notice the fake logs. And s/he is probably correct. People like that are scum. Quote Link to comment

I agree with the statement Andronicus made. Someone higher up will probably be checking those logs and dealing with them. Karma will deal with the faker......... Quote Link to comment
