+bspeng
Perhaps it would be a good idea to have the Corrected Coords from the last log entry (with corrected coords) to be the sent in the GPX/LOC file for moving and/or travelling caches. ~bspeng Link to comment
+Markwell
Most moving caches the cache hider updates with new coordinates at the top of the page (some don't, but most do - I think everyone SHOULD). So - MOST of the time, the new coordinates should be in the next download after it moves. Corrected coordinates are a different story. I'm not one to usually post corrected coordinates, as I'm not sure mine are any better. It just means that I got different ones with different satellites on a different day. Wouldn't what you're proposing mean that for every cache, there's a potential for 6 sets of coordinates (the main coords and the five most recent logs)? Markwell Chicago Geocaching Link to comment
+bspeng
um, no. rather, that's not what i meant. forgot to add the supposition: need some way to mark a "moving" cache, FIRST, and then, if so indicated, use only the coords from the last log (where they've been filled in) as the coords on the top on the cache page and in the GPX/LOC file. i suppose this is just an attempt to cure laziness, but, it was just a thought. in reflection, i started this idea late at night... i can't be held responsible. ~bspeng Link to comment
