Bronze Posted July 19, 2003 Share Posted July 19, 2003 Does Geocaching have a proforma that can be printed and filled out for applying written approval with land owners, departments and councils for placing caches on private / public lands. I explained geocaching to a bureaucrat (however spelt) and later found out he was a local council officer asking me about the approvals process and how authorisation is achieved. Up until now I have either just hid the cache on public reserve or private property with verbal approval. According to council if I want to place further caches on council lands I must follow a more formal process - which includes an explination of what Geocaching is. I live in Dubbo - Central New South Wales and their are 2 caches within 50 kilometers.
