Possible Trouble with Purdue Cache

The Purdue police/fire have evacuated two buildings on campus, including Hovde Hall - the home of the President's Office - due to a suspicious package. According to the media, the bomb squad is on the way. It appears to be this cache:

Definitely was a geocache, given this description from: http://www.jconline.com/article/20110304/NEWS0501/110304017

 

"...police found a container, the size of a coffee can, with coins, a change purse and other items. Police this afternoon were trying to figure out who owns the item and why it was left outside Hovde Hall."

 

As far as I'm aware, there aren't any local or campus geocaching organizations. Maybe some of us need to get organized and at least come up with a procedure for placing campus caches, as this isn't the only one around.
