+TerraViators
Anybody else getting NA logs on their caches by The Puritan? I have 2. This user has finds in MD but only a memeber since 2/12. Quote Link to comment
+TerraViators
now the account has logged NA logs on all my earthcaches with the post of (verbatim) "eearthcaces are gay" Quote Link to comment
+TerraViators
It would have been funnier if it posted "all your eearthcaces are belong to us" Quote Link to comment
+geekslady
Yea I got a NA on my Creepy Crawly Cache and the snarky remark was: This was my favorite cache to post needs archival on. Just deleted it and the attribute after talking to my reviewer. Quote Link to comment
GOF and Bacall
Huh. I did think you could edit the attributes to delete a NA attribute. Quote Link to comment
+TerraViators
Huh. I did think you could edit the attributes to delete a NA attribute. I don't think you can. I posted a blank OM log which cleared the attribute. Then deleted the log. Quote Link to comment
+dfx
... The Puritan ... Am I the only one who finds that sickly funny? Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
Yea I got a NA on my Creepy Crawly Cache and the snarky remark was: This was my favorite cache to post needs archival on. Just deleted it and the attribute after talking to my reviewer. Aw. I'm not the only one to get a favorite?? Ah, from the thread "Your favorite cache." Yes, ThePuritan was an interesting choice of name. Glad to see the lackeys working hard in the midde of the night! Edited February 15, 2011 by Harry Dolphin Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
It would have been funnier if it posted "all your eearthcaces are belong to us" Not bad, but I like "eearthcaces are gay" better. The Puritan does have at least one forum post, smarting off to Mr. T in the Guidelines reorganization thread. Which is actually pretty funny, considering Mr. T. invented the term Puritan. EDIT: You'll just have to take my word for it, it appears The Puritan's forum post has been erased from existence. Nice also of The Puritan to drop "TFTC" logs on most of their 21 finds in Maryland. Not very Puritan like, eh? Edited February 15, 2011 by Mr.Yuck Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Huh. I did think you could edit the attributes to delete a NA attribute. I don't think you can. I posted a blank OM log which cleared the attribute. Then deleted the log. I believe we were able to do this in the early days of attributes. Which was only like 3 years ago. But they took that ability away, or it got broked and never fixed. Quote Link to comment
+gpsfun
Huh. I did think you could edit the attributes to delete a NA attribute. There is no Needs Archived attribute. The CO was probably referring to the icon accompanying the needs archived log, and that went away when the log was deleted. Quote Link to comment
+GeoGeeBee
Huh. I did think you could edit the attributes to delete a NA attribute. There is no Needs Archived attribute. The CO was probably referring to the icon accompanying the needs archived log, and that went away when the log was deleted. My cache had a "Needs Maintenance" attribute set when the NA log was posted. Deleting the log doesn't clear the attribute, I had to post a maintenance log to clear the attribute. Then I deleted the maintenance log. Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
Logging a Needs Archived sets the Needs Maintenance icon. Deleting the NA log does not clear the icon. It can be cleared from the attributes page on a traditional cache, and by logging Owner Maintenance on all other cache types. I think this is a bug, ie, that NA logs set the NM icon. A good percentage of NA logs are simply wrong, ie, no real problem, and shouldn't force the cache owner to log on and "do something" to their listing. Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
yes, I also got a NA log on one of my caches. I had linked it in a forum topic "Your favorite hides." That's probably how The Puritan knew about it, since he is not local to my area. his account is now locked. You CAN get rid of the NA icon. just go to "edit attributes" and uncheck it. I also left a "performed maintenance" note to explain the situation. edit to add: he didn't actually claim a find on my cache, just posted the NA. I don't know if that makes a difference in ability to undo the NA icon. Edited February 15, 2011 by hukilaulau Quote Link to comment
4wheelin_fool
My spidey sense is telling me that it's someone nearby Maryland, but in another state that is still upset over ALRs being banned. Edited February 15, 2011 by 4wheelin_fool Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I notice now that GS or a reviewer has deleted his rude note from my cache. Funny, I figured out how to get red of the "red cross" icon but it didn't occur to me to just delete the note until I reread this thread! And by then it had already been done. pretty quick work, Groundspeak! Quote Link to comment

That would make sense with him running around putting N/A notices on earthcaches. But then again he's also putting them on regular caches. Someone mad about something for sure. hate it when they take it out on the rest of us. Hey bud, we didn't do it. Quote Link to comment
