Bug on the Geocaching.com Site

When in a Cache description one can download a GPX file of that cache. This works well on desktop PCs but when tried with most mobile browser in the downloaded GPX file is just the HTML page of the cache instead the GPX.

 

I tried with the standard browser on my Desire HD (Android) as well as with the dolphin browser. Other confirmed the same with their mobile as well.

The only Browser it seems to work correctly is the Opera mobile one.

 

Can we fix this please?

The site has a nice Android App for viewing cache details and using your devices GPS to find them.

The bolded word is a matter of opinion. I like the official Android app, but it is certainly not nice to my particular model of phone.

You should post the problem over on the feedback site. They say that the site crew is more likely to notice it over there.

It's been discussed on the feedback site for a while now. In fact, the conversation started on the "Get Satisfaction" site and moved to the new feedback site, still with no resolution.

Isn't this thread titled wrong?

I don't see this as a bug in the Geocaching.com website, but rather a bug in the mobile browsers.

It's a known bug in the standard android browser... I'm not sure about other browsers.
