Scavengers

Should TB's be used as scavengers (to collect items)? I'm planning to launch a TB and considering goals. One idea I'm considering is to attach it to a waterproof pouch to collect postcards or currency. Anyone have experience with this type of goal? Has it been successful? Or is it an improper usage of the TB concept? Please provide your honest opinions.

I've seen two TBs that were collecting items. These two had big chains for when they get a big collection. One was suppose to be collecting sports items/sports keychains while traveling to sporting events, and the other was just collecting toys as it travel. Both had small collections when I seen them. A third TB was a stuffed Mr.Potato Head. And as it traveled you had the option of trading a coin into/out of its pouch. (It had a pouch in its back that the owner had stocked with coins) And no one seemed to be taking the coins but just adding to them, I think think the TB had been outside the US but it had coins from 5 other countries!

IMO its ok to make collecting an/the goal of a TB so long as you 1. don't freak if someone doesn't 2. request some odd/expensive/hard to find item (which is related to number 1 icon_wink.gif)
