I found a Garmin GPS 12 on Craigs list for 25 dollars there is one list on the Tallahassee craigs list for 50 dollars but if you offered him less he might take it Tim Quote Link to comment

Since it is designed for a serial port, I did buy a cable from Amazon for $12 to convert serial to USB. This GPS may not have the newest bells and whistles, but it is a tough little unit and is getting the job done quite well. (Magellan sells a conversion cable, but they wanted about $90 for it, so I kept looking until I found the Amazon listing.) Quote Link to comment

kcmendy Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 I use an eTrexH, bought an eTrex12 for a family member and outside under clear skies did not see a noticable dif in accuracy. Inside the house and with limited sky view there was some dif, but I don't think enough to not find a cache. Quote Link to comment
