Hiding geocache

Is it ok to ask cachers to only go to your cache on weekends or after business hours? I have a great hide spot but don't want noise during business hours. I have the feeling I should find another spot but i love the spot. Thanks.

You can ask, but be ready for people to go looking for it whenever they feel like it.

You have no control over other cachers, so they may very well go looking for a cache other than the days/times you requested. If this is not acceptable to you, then I'd suggest finding a new hiding spot.

 

Keep in mind that not everyone reads the cache pages, so they might not even realize you have stated the condition to only find the cache on weekends or certain hours. They may have just downloaded the cache name, coords, and size, and know nothing else!

Not a great idea - I go after the treasure chest on the GPSr. Once at GZ and not able to find the cache, I'll pull up the description... and the hint, after some more searching.

Best thing to do is put in the description in big bold print if you are that anxious about it. They will get the picture.

We have one around here that has that same kind of request. They decided to make it a Premium Member only cache, as your more serious cachers are usually more apt to follow posted guidelines.
