MtnHermit
I doubt either is faster, both are based on the same STM Cartesio chip. Quote Link to comment
+Ridgetech
I have never owned a 300 but I have an Oregon 450 and I find that the maps draw very quickly. Quote Link to comment

+jeepdelfuego
We have the 200, 300, and 450. The 200 and 300 start up quicker. Could it be because I always have 5,000 caches loaded on the 450 vs. the 2,000 on the 200 and 300. But, the maps seem to update the same. Quote Link to comment
+TheManFromU.N.C.L.E.
I have the Oregon 450. I load up a lot of queries. Start up and maps seem fine. I con't compare but I am happy. Keep pretty new batteries in though. United Network for Cache Law and Enforcement U.N.C.L.E. Quote Link to comment
+rovers3
One thing that I have noticed and it may only be my units, is that with my old 400t the cold really slowed the response to any action. I would wait for a prolonged period of time for the next screen to appear after touching a command. So far this has not occurred with my new 450 an 3-4 occasions that I have caches all day in -8 to -10C temperature. The batteries are another story. In the cold, freshly charged Powerex batteries went from all green bars to 1 green bar in about 10 minutes. Cached for a couple of hours like this. When I returned home and the unit warmed up it showed all green bars again. Quote Link to comment
