Just a bit happy tonight as I have finally broken the 100 goal.. I'm now at 104.. It took a long time but I made it. I'm going to be trying to give more time to the sport in the future. Now that I have reached this goal... I want to place at least 5 geocaches this year. I'm anxious to get into that side of the sport.. thanks to all who have helped and given good advice.

Congratulations! It's great to achieve a goal.

The great thing about placing caches is that you can place what you like to find. And, you can often incorporate other interests (hiking, boating, history - and even other seemingly unrelated hobbies by way of puzzles or stories on the cache page)into your caches hides.

Welcome to the forums, too!

Congrats! 100 is a great milestone for sure. Better yet, because you waited for 100 or so finds before you start hiding caches, more than likely your hides will be better for it.

I disagree, top 3 favorite geocaches were all hidden from people under 100 finds, one person had less then 5.

Congratulations on being in the minority.

Congratulations on your milestone! And don't feel bad about how long it took. I found my first cache on New Year's Eve in 2001, and my 100th Cache was the 10th Anniversary Event on May 1, 2010. So it took me 3,043 days to reach 100!

Congrats to you! We got our 100th last weekend. While it is a landmark number, we are more into it for the fun than the numbers. We've learned alot, met some nice folks, and are loving this new hobby. Not much else will get me out in the gray, damp days of winter. Can't wait til spring!
