+AtwellFamily Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) So I have been traveling to Arizona a lot for work and I have a number of ideas that will have the southwest flare. This is the first and I was looking for which color choice people like the most and if there was a plating they wanted. I will be doing a shinny silver version of any color combination that is done. Please let me know that you think of the design and if you have a preference on colors. I also plan to do some opaque version even though these all show as transparent. +Toojin Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I like this one because it reminds me of turquoise and coral jewelry. Quote
+Jackalgirl Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Agreed with Toojin, though I like the green one too, 'cause I like green. I'd buy these, they're very nice! Quote
+AtlantaGal Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The first one is my favorite, but I think they're all nice. Quote
+pastor_b Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Turquoise please... but, I'd like one of each :D Edited January 18, 2011 by Pastor_B Quote
+Crowesfeat30 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The purple one doesn't do anything for me... But the others are very nice. CF30 Quote
GregsonVaux Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I'm sold! I plan on buying at least one too. I agree with everyone else that the first is best. What metals are you using? Are they all nickel or silver? It might be nice to have a gold or bronze version. Quote
+LadyBee4T Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I like the first one the best also but I also like the tan in the second version and because of that it reminds me more of the southwest. A gold version or ant gold could look very nice too. Quote
+CCWelch Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Most Natives use Silver or copper to make their jewelry and often the stones or inlays are turquoise(blue or green varieties), coral(of the red or deep orange red variety and jet or black onyx. Purple is relatively new to their usage and does not truly portray Native American or Southwest art. Also they use earth colors like sand and clay and the colors of hides and plants. That being said, I really like the turquoise one. Edited January 18, 2011 by CCWashburn Quote
+keewee Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Nice design. I think I like the second one best (with the early browns and reds) Quote
+scificollector Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Looks very nice indeed. I prefer the first two as they remind me of living in Tucson and are the more traditional colors. Can't wait to see them! Quote

We like this one, but honestly they all look great! Quote
eseurat Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 These are my favorite. They seem to compliment the natural tones of the Arizona landscape and their people, but they all seem to be quite lovely. I love your design too:) Quote
+Crowesfeat30 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I'm thinking satin silver & gold or antiqued rather than shiny. Antique copper rather than shiny copper too. CF30 Quote
+mpilchfamily Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The only one i don't like is the purple. Just doesn't fit with the colors you see in most Native American art. The red with turquoise seems off balance from the rest. The color combo is great but each side of the coin is off balanced. too much tuquoise one side and not enough on the other. All of them will look great in both ant copper and ant silver. Quote
+Doctor A Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Well I understand what people are saying about the purple probably not being the most "authentic" color, but it is my favorite! Quote
+cache_in_hand Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) I'm thinking satin silver & gold or antiqued rather than shiny. Antique copper rather than shiny copper too. CF30 I agree, the satin would really set them off. As for the color choices, the first two are perfect! Job well done. Can't wait to get some of these. Edited January 19, 2011 by cache_in_hand Quote
+Mar-elendili Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Any of the first three would do the trick for me. And yes, satin finish, please! Quote
+redwingrr Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Very nice! You've shown them in the order of my preference... blue, red, green. Purple isn't one I would purchase. Satin silver would be perfect for these, I think. And I'm surprising myself and saying I'd like to see them in satin copper also! Quote
+redwingrr Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Thinking more about copper... the southwest has lots of red earth and rock... copper-colored. It might fit perfectly? Quote

eseurat Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I've been looking at the pictures and I wanted to confirm that the Antique Silver is the one without any enamel, right? The silver is yellow and red (front)? Quote

The silver is yellow and red (front)? The silver with be made with Green enamel. The copper with red. Yes, the Antique Silver is no enamel. Quote
+Crowesfeat30 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 *snippy* Yes, the Antique Silver is no enamel. It would look better in antique nickel. IMHO. CF30 Quote
