gpsblake Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I would like to know if there is a way to load a benchmark gpx into the Dakota 10 that will show the field notes needed as well as the PID. I got a file called saluda.gpx that I would like to copy in one cut and paste job. Will I have to use something like GSAK to put data into it's proper place so it can look right on the Dakota 10. Thanks. Quote
AZcachemeister Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 If you already have a .gpx file, I would think you could just put it into your unit using the same method as any other .gpx file. If the file doesn't already contain all the information you want, GSAK can't add it for you. Quote
gpsblake Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 The gpx files does contain all the information for BM hunting. However, when I try to transfer the data directly into a gps, only the PID shows up and the coordinates, no notes. I was using gpx2html and using a Palm PDA before. I would just like to use the GPS. Do they show up as Geocaches ... when you select Geocaches>Find a Geocache can you find them in that list? Quote
