+Lil Devil Posted July 16, 2002 Share Posted July 16, 2002 I recently received a batch of TBs and am getting ready to release them. I've read the numerous stories about bugs going missing. And I've read the suggestions for attaching clear instructions to the bug. But I seen few success stories of bugs that have achieved their goal, and no stories of bug that were released last year and are still travelling actively. I don't care about bugs that have travelled 7,000 miles - that can happen with one airplane ride - but if it has travelled more than 100,000 miles, that would be interesting. And what did you do to bless your TB with such longevity? Instruction manual? (what did it say?) Viagra? Luck? Emails to finders? Lil Devil Quote Link to comment

+Markwell Posted July 16, 2002 Share Posted July 16, 2002 Geoffrey made it to his first of two destinations. The Superfriends are alive and well. Scooby and Shaggy (pre-bug travellers) came home after a year and some 3500 miles of random travelling. So far none of my bugs have gone permanently missing except the first iteration of Shaggy and Scooby. They were swallowed by the Chicago River, not taken by ill-informed cachers. He wandered around Colorado, disappeared and reappeared in Southern Utah. He reappeared in a travel bag! It's almost time to swap cameras (yep he was released with a camera, and still has it)! First time round, they're in the right date order, then they reappear after a post on April 1 this year. But still with the original dates and times. Anyone know what's happened there? Blazer2 Posted December 14, 2003 Share Posted December 14, 2003 In May of this year, I released a TB called Br'er Bear, he had a laminated tag attached to him saying he wanted to go on an adventure. For almost a month, he sat, then he started to move, visited three or four caches in the states and then recently spent five weeks in China visiting, arrived back to the states only to go to Germany for a short visit a few weeks later. Right now he is in Houston, waiting to go on another adventure. So far there have been several notes and pictures posted and hopefully it will keep up and he will arrive back home on time.
