"Gc number vs cache name

When I download geocaches from GSAK to my 60csx I get the "CG" number instead of the cache name. Can anyone help?

Put %name in the waypoint box on the gps/send waypoint page.

here is a list of Special tags to use with GSAK

 

Problem is there is a 14 character limit on waypoint name section so if cache name goes over that its going to get cut off. There is %ShortName tag. But your better off putting either in the waypoint comment section where there is a 30 character limit.

Also know that if you go over the 14 character limit you can lose the uniqueness of a name

 

For instance if the name of two caches are

 

This is a really long cache name - John Adams

This is a really long cache name - George Washington

 

Both will show up on the GPS as

This is a rea1

This is a rea2

 

You won't know which is which
