+Illini Dave
I'm a freshman at the University of Illinois and I was shocked to see that there wasn't a geocaching club, so I decided to organize one. I have a few buddies interested in it. There are a ton of geocaches in the Champaign-Urbana area but it's all cornfields down there so they're mostly urban caches. I think I may plan some weekend trips to more heavily forested areas with some caches, but they would all be quite a drive. Since it's winter I can organize and plan ahead for the spring and whatnot. So are there any organizations in the area who would like to help, or are there any geocachers are Champaign-Urbana area that would like to help jumpstart the club? Or would anyone like to give some advice? Quote Link to comment

+joranda
There is also the PAC (Peoria Area Cachers) I think it would be a great idea to start a club in your area. With your young minds you guys could have some fun and challenging caches out. I haven't cache in your area in quite a while. Good luck on your club idea. Quote Link to comment
+joranda
Another idea is to have a event posted on the site to draw in other cachers that would like your idea of having your own caching club in your area. Quote Link to comment
