Being shy and reserved, he convinced me to attend my first event cache, after three years of caching. Only then did I realise how much fun I was missing out on. I know Dave was a fond user of Facebook, and I know he was friends with many geocachers. Please may I ask you not to leave tributes on his page, and allow the family to grieve in private. I'm sure you'll all want to join me in passing our deepest sympathies to his wife, Pat. I will keep you informed regarding donations, but I am thinking of arranging something for Pat in this very difficult time. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts, then please do get in touch. Thank you. Dyfan / moche. David was a very liked member of the South Wales Caching fraternity and will be greatly missed . Quote

+Von-Horst Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Dave was a lovely bloke and a real character. He will be missed. Not sure what to say, really but "Bugger" is at least a start. Farewell Dave, and it's nice to know that there is an angel with a Brompton rather than wings! Quote

The Red Kite Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Sad news indeed. I was only reminiscing this morning how David had set up an interview for Abercachers with BBC RadioWales. We spent a very happy day with Mel Dole and Pauline. RIP Dave, and condolences to his family and friends. You and your Bromptom exploits will be missed Quote
