I'm very sorry to say that Dave from DHJ&P passed away earlier today.

He was a highly respected colleague to me and a great friend, and will be very sadly missed.

Being shy and reserved, he convinced me to attend my first event cache, after three years of caching. Only then did I realise how much fun I was missing out on.

I know Dave was a fond user of Facebook, and I know he was friends with many geocachers. Please may I ask you not to leave tributes on his page, and allow the family to grieve in private.

I'm sure you'll all want to join me in passing our deepest sympathies to his wife, Pat.

I will keep you informed regarding donations, but I am thinking of arranging something for Pat in this very difficult time. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts, then please do get in touch.

Thank you.

Dyfan / moche.

David was a very liked member of the South Wales Caching fraternity and will be greatly missed .

Dave was a lovely bloke and a real character.

He will be missed.

Not sure what to say, really but "Bugger" is at least a start.

Farewell Dave, and it's nice to know that there is an angel with a Brompton rather than wings!

Very sad news. I met Dave a number of times at various South Wales events. My thoughts are with Pat and her family.

Our thoughts are with Pat and her family.

We will fondly remember David from our waddle in the mud out to the barges, to get Flotsam & Jetsam EXTREME, when we met him for the first time.

Very sad news, we never met David in person, but often shared a laugh or two and caching experiences on face book.

Our thoughts are with Pat and her family.

 Sad news indeed. I was only reminiscing this morning how David had set up an interview for Abercachers with BBC RadioWales. We spent a very happy day with Mel Dole and Pauline.

RIP Dave, and condolences to his family and friends.

You and your Bromptom exploits will be missed
