Downloading Cache to GPSmap62st

Morning all,

 

Help heeded I think ?

 

Do I have to download individual caches to my GPS (1 at a time) or can I down load 10s, 100s at a time, ie when we expect to go away on holiday/camping , but perhaps do not know exact area/s, and no www connection

 

please help

As you are a Premium Member, you have access to the Pocket Query feature which is the best way to load multiple caches to a GPS.

 

There's also a video, which can be found at this LINK

 

Have a play with them and if you have any problems someone will help.

Pocket Queries are your friend.

Be sure to select a day for the PQ to run and you will get up to 1000 caches in a single file.

One you get the pocket query result, you can simply copy or move the gpx file (unzip it if need be!) to the garmin/gpx folder of your unit. The 62st supports up to 5000 geocaches, so you have a lot of room for more than one query. You can not only query for the specific locations you are going, but for Caches Along the Route you will be taking.
