dzarovit
Stumbled Upon this cool site that was very much similar to geocaching. It's called "Dead Drops" and it's done by this artist living in NYC. He's implanting USB devices around the city in permanent fixtures (as in, embedded in mortar between bricks) and is trying to create an offline peer-to-peer file sharing network thing I guess. Something like that...Sort of. Here's the URL: "Dead Drops" It's not a long read. Check it out. No real point to this, but it would be really cool if some geocacher in NYC logged the locations of them. The artist would probably be appreciative of the publicity. Ciao! Quote Link to comment
+Chokecherry
There was another thread on this in the Topics forum. My stance remains the same. I'm not going to put that into my computer and risk any number of problems occurring. I'm also concerned about encouraging people to deface public/private property. Quote Link to comment
+Yshf
Yeah and theres a link in the other topic. Judging by the pictures included it looks like they wouldn't last to long. Quote Link to comment
