aordway
Hi everyone, My father is an avid geocacher in the States, and for his birthday/holidays I purchased 5 Travel Bugs which I have attached to a special tag that I made for him. My goal is to disperse four of these Travel Bugs to four different countries before Christmas, so that he can track their journeys over time. If you are a fellow geocacher and would not mind me sending one of his Travel bugs to you, I would be so grateful! Of course, I would expect you would drop it off at a cache to start it's travels ... Please message me and let me know if you are interested in helping! Thank you! Cheers! Amanda Quote Link to comment

+The Blorenges
This is a good place to put up a link to the World Release Register - It's a list of worldwide geocachers in many countries who are happy to receive your own trackables in the mail for release into one of their local caches. World Release Register for Trackables. (Please note that you shouldn't put any other cacher's trackable into the mail without asking their permission first.) MrsB Quote Link to comment

MrsB I do not believe it actually says that anywhere does it? Etiquette maybe, but a rule? What about trackables that end up in "worm hole" type caches where they routinely exchange trackables with a sister cache overseas? Quote Link to comment

MrsB I do not believe it actually says that anywhere does it? Etiquette maybe, but a rule? It's in the pinned post by Eartha at the top of the TB forum, "How to log a travel bug or geocoin" so I guess it's more of an etiquette "guideline". What about trackables that end up in "worm hole" type caches where they routinely exchange trackables with a sister cache overseas? No idea. Maybe they're the exception that proves the rule guideline? MrsB Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
I do not believe it actually says that anywhere does it? Etiquette maybe, but a rule? Tb's can be snail-mailed with owner permission, even through wormhole caches. Nothing wrong with that. And there is nothing wrong with checking with the owner first. Quote Link to comment
