+zsdeng15014 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Why do they limit you to ten feedback votes? Of course, you wouldn't vote for everthing, so why do they limit you to ten votes? Quote
+narcissa Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 So you have to make a judgment call about what is actually important to you, which gives the vote numbers a bit more meaning. Quote
+Hynr Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 ... you wouldn't vote for everthing, ...You obviously have not been around these forums much. Some would, just to rack up the numbers. Quote
+gpsfun Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 They would like for the items of greatest interest to the community to rise to the top of the voting list. Limiting the number of votes prevents one or two persons from being able to stuff the ballot box, so to speak, resulting in a better view of the overall community's interest. That's just how the feedback site works. Once a lackey states that an item will or will not be carried forward, everyone gets their votes on that item back. Quote

Along that same line of thought, I believe you can change your vote if you find something else that is of greater interest to you. It seems that Groundspeak has been pretty active to "return" votes where appropriate. Otherwise, I think you just have to be a bit choosy about what matters to you. Quote
+JesandTodd Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I used up all my votes right away in the iPhone forum, and naturally I haven't received a single vote back... Quote
