What do you do with them??

The FAQ at the bottom of the Travel Bug page is pretty good, but I'll summarize:

Travel Bugs are dog tags with a six digit serial number on them. They are attached to objects by cachers who release them into caches.

Each person that finds a TB is asked to log it on the website (using that 6 digit code) and the website will track the character's movements.

That's the official line. Some have goals, some do not. Some are cute. I just saw one that a buddy had at the picnic that looked literally like a piece of plastic that someone pulled from a garbage can - complete with old dead bug stains on it. eeww.

If it ain't got the dog tag, it ain't a travel bug, but it CAN be a traveller that moves from cache to cache. We were doing that before the Travel Bugs were invented. We just had to do all the tracking work ourselves. icon_wink.gif
