+Lost Sailor
How do I reference a travel bug number, such as TB5EB4. Thanks. Pat - Lost Sailor The way in, is the way out Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
There are three numbers associated with a Travel Bug. The first is the last digits of the website address for that bug. Those are in order from when the bugs are activated. My first bug is... http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=232 (232) my most recent bug is http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=21056 (21056) The second number is that same number in Hexadecimal format with the letters TB added to the front. 232 in Hex is E8, so TBE8. 21056 is 5240, so TB5240. This number will work in the entry field on the www.geocaching.com/track page under the scarab. That's the best way to reference a bug. The third number is the six digit code on the bug's tag. This is a "secret" code so that unscrupulous people don't move the bug without actually having seen it. Don't post this anywhere! Markwell Chicago Geocaching Quote Link to comment
