This is our fist geoicoin: O Galo de Barcelos.

 

Right now we are already producing the samples. Therefore, we estimate that the delivery of this geocoin to be made in early December. You can see the timeline of the geocoin production here.

Sales Process

 

The sale will be made through 40 lots, each lot has geocoins 8: 5 x version 1, 2 x version 2 and 1 x version 3.

 

The AE version will never be sold.

 

Each lot cost: 70€

 

Shipping: 5€ with registered mail

Nice coin, congratulations on the design.

But the fact that I will have to buy 8 coins, will keep me from buying them.

I collect coins and 1 version of each leaves me with 5 coins I have to trade or re-sell.

The price is reasonable I think: € 8,75 per coin.

However there's no word about shipment. What would shipment of 8 coins cost?

I also think this is a nice coin, but having to reserve 8 will prevent me from buying as well. However, I'm not big into trading or selling coins as of yet; I'm simply building up a personal collection. Perhaps those who are more interested in the trading aspect will hop on board for reservations?

Cute coin! But YIKES!! $75.00 euro = $ 104.00 US!!! Unless I were running a geocoin store - which I'm not - I would never go for this offer. Not to mention the fact that I only need one or perhaps two of 'em...

it calls (in uk version) The Rooster from Barcelos

 

The symbol has its genesis in the history of Barcelos. The city of Barcelos is located just east of Braga. Even though it is not on a major highway, it still is a good sized city. The legend of the Rooster is so old that no one knows for sure its real source. There are serveral versions of the legend. The version below came from post cards found in a tourist shop on the Ribeira in Porto.

First of all, sorry for this late post, but work has been a lot...

 

The Geocoin have been delayed because we needed to do some changes on the samples.

 

I hope to have them in January, if someone want's a refund i'll be glad to do it.
