+Cissy PSP Posted October 3, 2010 Share Posted October 3, 2010 I am brand new...and I mean BRAND NEW to Geocaching. My friend (GEOGillian) went on a mini vacation. She told me all about Geocaching....brought her GPS loaded with a couple of cache sites. After 3 days of trekking around, we were not successful in finding anything. I hope that will change soon. I plan on getting myself a GPS as well. There are TONS of caches around me and around where my friend lives as well. One day of looking for that first cache, I am hooked! Thanks! They are great places to meet experienced cachers that will gladly give you some help in learning how or what to look for to find a cache and many are really experienced with the use of GPS'rs.
