I'm looking for a GPS. I'm only going to use it for Geocaching. I have been reading everything I can find, but I still can't make up my mind on which GPS I should choose.

I have naroved it down to these two GPS: Oregon and Garmin GPSMaps 62 (not sure if I should choose 62s or 62st)

I need a GPS that will work in winter time. Is the Oregon ok to use whith gloves on?

Hi!

Yes, the Oregon (or at least my Oregon 300) works fine with gloves. Compared to the Garmin GPSMaps 62, I would still prefer the Oegon 300.

Which Oregon do you plan to buy? Don't get the Oregon 200. Its not worth the price. Get the 300 or better. :anicute:

Cheers,

Depending on how cold it gets in Winter where you are, the display on the Oregon is supposedly not so good in the cold. It works pretty well with gloves, unless they are very bulky, making it hard to press accurately...

I have an Oregon 550 and a 62S, and there's no doubt the resolution on the Oregon is impressive, but I think I like the 62 just a little more as it's easier to see most of the time.
