foxtrot_xray Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Thought you guys might find this interesting/useful: http://www.metzgerwillard.us/ngscs/ngscs.html Very cool. Very similar to my utility here: http://ngs.tsqmadness.com/ge/index.html It appears to use the live database (whereas mine uses a copy of the live database). Cool, thanks for sharing. Quote

Tom Davis Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) I like yours more betterer! If only I could find a way to use GE overlays on a smartphone. I know this works on a droid. The trick is to get the kml file into My Maps. 1. Visit http://www.metzgerwillard.us/ngscs/ngscs.html and download NGSCS. 2. Click on Query Setup to initiate a search and follow the instructions for your search type. 3. Open the Search Results folder, click on Save As, and save the file to your computer. 4. Visit http://maps.google.com/maps and click on My Maps. Use Google Chrome for this step; at the moment, IE8 will not import to My Maps. 5. Click on Create New Map, Import the file you saved in step 3, and click on Done. 6. On an Android, select Google Maps -> Layers -> More Layers -> My Maps -> NGS Control Stations.
