GeoBoo's Golden Crow game

Assisted Fugefinders in trying to locate #18 and we have come to the conclusion that 1 of 3 things happened. 1. Someone has found it already and not logged it, 2. It's been muggled, or 3. The coords are off. We have spent almost 2 hours looking for it with 3 people looking. Hopefully we can get a quick verification of the coords to rule that out. We even looked on the opposite side of the river. We came out not more then 90 minutes after it was posted this morning.

When I went looking for this one I thought that the Crow maybe weighted down and under the water, but I saw nothing that would indicate such.

I was about to head down to the water along a well travelled path, and (this is at 12:00pm) there were 5 kids hanging out at the area. This is a very active area. They ended up coming up the path as I was going to look for the cache wrong way, so I heading back to look for the crow, I was there like others for 1 hour.

FYI the kids threw their glass bottle down the embankment feet from where I was standing, I know they did not know I was there.

If this is the right area, then the bird may have been kidnapped.

Mrs F here. I have spent well over two hours looking for #18. Even had the help of Psykokiwi and theMcMorrows. Would appreciate someone checking on it or verifying coords. I saw the hint, and we searched the waters edge and in the water. We could have missed it...but I'm worried that it's gone missing.:D

To cold for me to go in the water, but the dog sure was intrested in somethng over there, I was hoping the dog would lead me to it since she likes the feathers, She has grabed the crow I have a few times (it is now safe in the truck) I really wanted to confrim it was still there and help you find it. Maybe another day.

Am I gonna have to come find it for you guys? teehee....

No seriously, good luck. And as last chance effort, #10 will be getting a new set of wings and finding a new home in the Puyallup/Sumner area friday evening. So for anyone who needs that golden crow, keep your eyes on the forums. I'm not 100% sure of my plans this weekend and I may not be able to make the event, so it would be a waste of a perfectly good crow.

PS This WILL be a night hunt, but won't be difficult or super rough(terrain wise). Though the forecast does call for rain, so who knows :yikes:

great. Just great.

Not much on your word are you?

I'm not going to argue about a foam crow over the Internet. I posted my plans TWO days ago, if you had any qualms about how I was going to handle it, you should have mentioned it at that point, not whine about it after the fact. I felt I was overly fair in giving everyone a two day notice.

First I heard about your placing it.

I think it's fair this way.

I just think it sucks that you lied to me twice about it.

It is more fair to place it. But then you knew you'd be gone for the geoboo.

And you don't have to be such a dick about it either. You know the whole history behind what I'm saying.

I don't think this is the time or place for name calling. I'm sorry you didn't get a crow and I'm sorry that you feel I owe you the crow. In our original call I NEVER said I wasn't going after it, I said I wasn't driving straight there. I found it ONE hour after it was posted, plenty of time for you to get there from federal way. The pity party phone call you gave me TWO hours after it was placed is all I've needed to hear from you. I'm 29 & Im into geocaching to go explore the world around me, not go back and forth about a foam crow. You're reputation is becoming well known locally, have a good time tomorrow evening

PS My apologies to the countless people who are subscribed to this thread and getting pointless emails, thus being dragged into a pointless internet argument...

I never said, nor implied that you owed me any crow.

It's not about the crow, it's about you keeping your word.

I told you I didn't want to make the drive if you were going after it. It was a long drive, and I was sick at the time. You said you weren't because you were going to CA. Then you got it. Fine. It is open to everyone.

Interesting you decided it was a "pity party call" when I just had wanted to know if you knew if anyone had gotten it since I had already spent a half hour in the rain with a cold looking for it. I didn't want to continue looking if it was gone. Interesting that you would take that that way. Seems you are showing your true colors here.

Then when you said you would give it to me if you went to Ca that was a nice gesture. Obviously not a true one.

I think (as I said before) that is it much fairer to place it again, rather than pass it on, even though I would have been second to find.

Still what bothers me about this is not the crow, but your communication throughout the whole issue.

It is not the crow you have been unfair to me about. I don't care about the crow.

It has been your communication that has been unfair.

And now the way you are handling this and treating me is unfair.

all you had to say was, "Sorry, I thought it was more fair this way." That would have been a great thing to say. Instead you are turning it into a character assassination of me.

Yes, I have gotten to know you much better though this event.

What happened to expressing your angst and letting it go as you stated in your thread? Only two cachers know what is going on here and they have differing perspectives. Take it offline and try to keep having fun in the game.

Stuff like this has a tendency to kill really fun and cool things like the GeoBoo and the annual game with hiding and finding the special tokens. :D
