+sydnsue
I've checked all the posts I can find on this but the answers don't seem to go far enough. I use a Dakota and when I download the Pocket Query I get both gpx files. Normally I transfer just the main gpx to the Dakota. If I also load the wpts file, will this automatically associate with the caches in the main file? I look at the wpts file in EasyGPS and it is just a long list of waypoints that appear to have no association with the caches. I suppose I could just suck it and see, but I don't want to foul up what is already in the GPS. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
You need the .wpts file for the stages of multi caches and things like parking co-ords. The cache is called GC1234 the waypoint for it will have 2 letters to replace the GC part and the 1234 will be the same as the cache number. For example: cache is GC1234 parking will be PK1234 Stage 1 will be S11234 stage 2 will be S21234 Trail Head will be TH1234 and so on. Quote Link to comment
+dfx
the additional waypoints are also listed at the end of each cache description, regardless of whether the -wtps file was loaded or not. personally i change the descriptions of the additional waypoints to tell me which cache they belong to via a script. check if your software can do that - GSAK probably can.
